Pigment print on Awagami Kozo / Risograph print

Stitch by Stitch brought together seven artists working across fabric and textile-based practices, reflecting on the memory of the hand within Euljiro’s long-established sewing district. The exhibition marked the first time selected digital works were translated into physical prints.

The works were produced through pigment printing on Awagami Kozo paper and Risograph printing. The tactile surface of the kozo-fiber washi gave the images a softer physical presence, while the distinctive color and grain of Risograph naturally complemented the analog gestures within the work. Testing different papers and printing methods became a way to explore how images could extend beyond the screen and take on a material form.

This first material experiment opened the work toward further possibilities in print, paper, and new physical forms.
