비주얼 아티스트 KKMD입니다.

회화와 영상 매체를 함께 공부하며 정해진 하나의 형식보다는

그 사이를 떠도는 태도에 익숙했습니다.

덕분에 지금은 AI와 수공예라는 전혀 다른 재료를

한 장면에 놓아보는 작업을 하고 있어요.

뮤직비디오와 브랜드 기반의 시각 작업을 해오면서

시선이 머무는 장면을 만드는 감각을 익혔고

그 경험이 지금의 작업으로 자연스레 이어졌습니다.

따뜻한 촉감이 느껴지는 손의 일들과

디지털 이미지의 미묘한 낯섦을 겹쳐보면

어느 순간 둘 사이가 맞닿는 장면들이 생겨나요. 

저에게 익숙한 건 완전한 무언가에 속하는 것보다

그 중간쯤에 머무는 감정인 것 같아요.

진짜도 아니고, 그렇다고 전부 가짜도 아닌 것들.

그 흐릿한 지점에서 교차하는 모순적 아름다움을 탐구합니다.

Alongside my personal work,

I’ve worked as an art director for music videos

and as a content director for brand visuals.

Those experiences shaped the way

I understand visual language—

how images hold emotion, rhythm, and memory.

That sensitivity now flows into my own practice,

where I combine handmade elements

like crochet and beadwork with AI-generated imagery.

In the soft tension between the digital and the tactile,

I look for quiet moments of convergence—

where something unexpected, yet familiar, begins to surface.

I’m drawn to staying in the in-between,

rather than belonging fully to one side or the other.

I explore the beauty that gently emerges in that space—

not entirely real, but not fully fictional—

where fiction meets the gentle real.
